Durban to Johannesburg Motorcycle Transport
Moving a motorcycle along the N3 between Durban and Johannesburg is one of the busiest bike transport corridors in South Africa, and one of ours. As a KZN-based operator, this is a route we run regularly, not a one-off job we sub out. Door-to-door or depot options

The Durban–Johannesburg Route
The N3 corridor covers 578km end to end, running from central Durban through the KZN Midlands, over the Drakensberg via Van Reenen's Pass, and across the Free State into Gauteng. The full route passes through: Pinetown, Cato Ridge, Pietermaritzburg, Howick, Mooi River, Estcourt, Ladysmith, Van Reenen, Harrismith, Warden, Villiers, and Heidelberg, before reaching Johannesburg via the N1 interchange near Sandton.
Reference points we work with regularly:- Pietermaritzburg -> first major waypoint, common additional pickup point for Midlands clients
- Howick / Mooi River / Estcourt -> consolidation points for group loads along the N3
- Van Reenen's Pass -> the steepest, most weather-exposed section of the route, climbing the Drakensberg escarpment; can affect scheduling in winter (fog, occasional frost)
- List ItemHarrismith -> where the N3 meets the N5, KZN–Free State crossover point
- Villiers / Heidelberg -> final Free State towns before the N3 meets the N1 into Johannesburg
Because we run this route on a scheduled basis, not just on-demand, you get more predictable pricing and pickup windows than a once-off charter, and lower cost than a dedicated one-bike trip.

Pietermaritzburg, Midlands, South Coast, and outlying areas without extra hassle
Consistent scheduling
not ad-hoc trips that depend on finding a "backhaul"
Real-time WhatsApp updates, not a call centre
Fully insured, purpose-built trailers with proper tie-downs and padding, not a modified bakkie
